THIS IS HOW WE END
The weak will gravitate to the loud
they will be the most dangerous
of groupings, and the largest.
The intellectuals will try to combine
their forces –Everyone is right
and nothing will get accomplished.
The rest of us will form tribes,
groups of families who will slowly
rob each other blind.
There will be no religion but
there will be zealots– their words
hollow, their hair ablaze
with the fires of non-compliance,
from their mouths will spew division,
While the rulers plan out refuge
as they set the world to flames
and watch it smoke and smolder
as they laugh and shrug their shoulders
at the trust we placed in them.
