The Smile

White light pierces the dark with great thrust
Warmth provides where black space cannot
Aura, karma and soul are one, heating my very heart
Its brilliance exceeds a thousand suns, but yet fades.

Fluttering my heart takes to blue sky unafraid
Battlefields lay strewn with the bodies of slain armies
I am not afraid for I have what they do not
Or do I?

Engaged in knowledge, plunged into the soul of the sun
I gain wisdom, understanding and love of its creation
More hopeless my cause becomes as I care not
Were I a different being would the love flame the same?

Light falters, the black begins its march
I pray for ignorance, for the fantasy my life held
Distance is the new intimacy, it’s hold soothing
How could I lose what I have never held?

Broken, desolate yet inspired to create for the unwanting
Craving to be different yet accepted as created
She does not desire what she inflicts, yet she cares
I lose what I never had, never held, never loved.
