Rainbows

What if we’re all rainbows?

What if, in the storm,

is when you beam your colours most dazzlingly?
True character in vivid, pigmented form.

Because you can’t see a rainbows’ colours;
not until it rains.

But when it pours, when the heavens cry and the blue skies shift to grey,
when the wind is turbulent, biting, shifting obstacles in your way..

That’s when we see rainbows

illuminate dark clouds,

and it’s hard to see the raindrops
when rainbows sing their shades out loud.

So glow on so defiantly;

even through the rain.

And shine your colours, mightily.

The sun will shine again.
