The Fire of Fall

Burning a bright, crimson red
Without a spark to light its bed

Burning so bright
With a fire so cold

Beginning it descent from warmth
The air tansforming water into ice

A flame, once, seeming so alive
Now dying in a colorless grave

(2013)

This is about the bright colors of fall fading and dying into winter.
