An Ode to Fallen Soldiers
This is where we’ve come to fall:
Where no one else would stand
To heed the heady battle call
That echoes o’er the land
And, in our darkest hour,
Here our bravery shines bright
Aglow with profuse power
That has kept us through this fight
Here we find our glory:
In the company of War
Where the tides will tell our story
Once we’ve parted from this shore
If the battery defeats us,
Let our memory live on
Through the turning of the seasons,
Through the breaking of the dawn
Pray that history remembers
How our heroes fought with pride
When our flames have cooled to embers,
When the last of us has died
Let our families never wonder
If their loved ones died in vain
For, even if we all fall under,
Our legacy will still remain
