7-3-21. Impressions of summer
The buck in the garden Chewing up hard earned Labor, His antlers raise, His ears perk up, as
Time is going by fast, Trying not to live in the past, To keep priorities straight And not falter at the gate. To join the universal goal
Orange full moon with a half smile, a hanging lantern, lighting the way, through dark streets,
Not sure where we are headed, Could be a long ride, Keep your heart steady, Open wide your eyes. There is something to learn
Inhale, the arms float up, Exhale, the arms float down, Namaste, at the heart. Inhale, the body bends, Hands at top of mat,
A path with heart Is full of love Which makes us right Brings in the light And chases the dark.
I heard past generations In my son’s voice, I saw his life fly Into another dimension, A place, I can only imagine.
What inspires me... Hummingbirds buzzing as they land, on nearby flowers. Their amazing wings
The red cardinal high in a tree, caught my attention with his melodious chirp on my daily walk.
The flesh withers as we age But our inner spirit Remains the same. And when the body dies The spirit breaks free
In the noble purpose of my life, In the clear and quiet chamber Of my soul, In the open and warm cave Of my heart,
Remember the night we took your mother’s car and drove over the skyway bridge? The moon was a bright light to show the way.
The birds flock to the bird feeder, some with black, capped heads and others with
The white snow, thin Like sand, over The fields, blowing Across the road. My car rambles
It is what it is Despite my wishes for it, Otherwise. You are who you are Despite my expectations,
