To those that don't understand
This is a poem dedicated for the soldiers that has PTSD, and to those that don't understand the kind of PTSD that soldiers get after they have been to war. I pray for me and all the other soldiers that have to deal with PTSD. I also pray for the families
I am a soldier and I served for my country
But i have PTSD
I get angry for no reason, even when I am happy
I am always alert as if someone is plotting on me
I can’t trust people because its hard for me to turn my back towards people
I have nightmares at night time that keep me from sleeping like i am suppose to
Love for me is like a bird with a broken wing trying to fly
sometimes I feel as if God has forsaken me and the devil loves me
Why am I so angry all the time
For those that don’t understand
I know that inspire of my issues
God still loves me and I will protect my family with my life!
Pray for me and those with PTSD from War.
May God heal our cold hearts so that we can live a normal life.
