A world anew

When breath of night and light of day,
Linger till it doth away,
When sounds of the world hearken shrill,
Merciful twilight mists, o’er the hill.

The silence creeps long into the night,
Shadows fore’er, the edge o’ the fight,
The cold it seeps into your bones,
As all your senses, the world now hones.

Yet at the recede of this eerie sense,
The fog descends o’er the land so dense,
The world, to the light, it once more yields,
The kaleidoscope of lights brighten the fields.
