The Quiet Rebellion

In silence, a fortress, my thoughts confined,
A voiceless child, in life’s shadows resigned,
So I wore my mute mask, ever meek.
Studying inwardly and gain knowledge in life to seek.

Yet within my mind, a rebellion, silent and deep,
A yearning for words did not want to keep.
In the quiet, I found a complex mix,
Of safety and longing, of joy and fix.

As years passed, the quiet grew louder,
I watched the world, became more bold and prouder.
Yet there I stood, still and unseen,
In a silence so dense, a barrier between.

Connections lost in fear’s quiet grasp,
Dreams reduced to whispers that would not last.
The silent screams that echoed through my mind,
A reminder of life’s silences crippling bind.

But in the depths, a spark still burns,
A flicker of hope for my place here on Earth, returns.
In silence’s art, I learned to see,
That even in quiet, the heart yearns to be free.

Now to speak in quotes, poetry that can set to rhyme,
Finding strength in words that echo in time.
The silence taught me through its tough test,
To voice my own truth and live life at my best.

So here I stand with words anew,
A soul reborn, honest and true.
In every line, a piece of me remains,
A silenced child who’s life able to freely sustain.
