**Gratitude’s Embrace**

When sorrow’s grip weighs heavy on my soul,
I seek Thee, Lord, with heart bereft and low.
In mingled grief and fear, I draw my stole,
And to Thy throne with trembling steps I go.

Though broken and repentant, welcomed still,
Thy boundless grace, a balm upon my wounds,
Heals the deep wounds, and stills my fear’s shrill
The restless ocean of my thoughts it sounds.

In gratitude, I kneel before Thy feet,
For in Thy presence, solace I regain.
No matter how my feeble heart may beat,
Thy love enfolds me, easing all my pain.

With every tear and every whispered plea,
Thy faithful heart extends its arms to me.
